It’s interesting the myriad of advices you get from people.  One friend tells you one thing; another tells you the exact opposite.  After a while you start getting a feel for which direction each friend will generally tell you to go.  For example, I know friend X will give me “throw caution to the wind” advice while friend Y will advice me to be more meticulous.  I find the best advice generally comes from those that share value system similar to yours.  Those that don’t, tend to give you advice that’s more…interesting.
